We seem to have escaped harm in yesterday's tornado swarm.
Today we plan to drive about 4 hours, ending up near LaClaire, IA, home of the American Pickers. Of course we'll try to make a perfunctory visit for a photo or two.
Our holding tanks are getting full, so we plan to pull into a truck stop as they often have dump stations.
The generator is running to recharge the batteries right now, but I'll soon turn it off, hook up the car and we'll get on our way. As the song goes, "Another tank of gas and back on the road again".

We're parked at a humongous truck stop on Rt 80 about 20 miles West of Davenport, IA billed as the "world's largest". Among other attractions, they have the National Trucking Museam, a huge "Chrome Shop" truck accessories store, restaurants, showers and more. We arrived here about 3pm, found a parking spot in their lot (that must be several hundred acres), unhooked the Jeep and headed to Leclaire to see the American Pickers' place. More on that later. We had a light dinner at a casual restaurant right on the Mississippi. Arrived back at the MH about 6pm, just in time for what has become the daily rain storm. BTW, All the creeks as well as Ole Miss are swollen over their banks.
We moved the MH to a very remote and quiet part of the lot, put up the satellite dish and are now watching evening news.
I'll write more about the Pickers excursion tomorrow.
